Terms of use
Last updated 20 September 2026
SeoGuard is run by The Micro Forge. By using the scanner you agree to these terms. They are short because the service is free and asks little of you.
What you may do
- Scan pages you own, look after, or are simply curious about: one page at a time, as a person would.
- Share the results.
What you may not do
- Use the scanner to put load on somebody else's site, or to probe addresses that aren't public web pages.
- Automate it, get round its rate limits, or resell it. An API for that is planned.
- Pass off our findings as a certification of anything. They are advice.
We limit how often anyone can scan, and may refuse scans or block requesters to keep the service fair.
What the results are
Every finding comes from a published rule in the rule book, with its reasoning and sources. We work hard to keep them right, but search engines and networks change without notice, and a scan sees a page once, from one place. Results are provided as they are, without warranty, and you should use your judgement before acting on them. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from relying on them.
If our scanner visited your site
Somebody asked it to. This page says what it fetches and how to allow or block it, and where to write if it is being misused.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Write to hello@getseoguard.com about anything here.
