Why it matters
X reads your Open Graph tags for the title, description and image, but the shape of the card comes from one tag of its own, twitter:card. Without it X shows the small "summary" layout, a thumbnail beside the text, however good your image is. summary_large_image asks for the full-width card, and needs an image of at least 300×157 pixels. Slack and Discord read the same tag when choosing between a large image and a thumbnail.
Source: X's Cards documentation ("Summary Card with Large Image"), which X has withdrawn from its developer site; these are the last published values, checked September 2026. Because the source is gone, a missing tag is only a notice.
How to fix it
Add inside <head>. You don't need twitter:title, twitter:description or twitter:image if the og: versions are there: X falls back to them.
