No og:type

Why it matters

og:type says what kind of thing the page is: a website, an article, a product. It is one of the four properties the Open Graph protocol requires, and validators such as Facebook's Sharing Debugger flag a page without it. Networks assume website when it is missing, so nothing breaks; articles lose their author and publish date in previews that show them.

How to fix it

Add inside <head>. Use article for blog posts and news, website for everything else:

<meta property="og:type" content="website" />
