Search Console is set up for this site

Why it matters

Search Console is the only place Google tells you anything directly: which pages it has indexed and which it has refused, what people searched for before they clicked, and when something is broken badly enough for it to give up. It is free, it takes ten minutes, and without it you are guessing.

We can tell you what is wrong with a page. Only Google can tell you what it has actually done about it, and it will only tell the verified owner.

How to fix it

Go to Search Console, add the site as a domain property (it covers every subdomain and both protocols at once), and verify it with a DNS TXT record. Then:

- submit your sitemap.xml under Indexing → Sitemaps; - look at Indexing → Pages and read the reasons under "Not indexed"; - turn on the email alerts, which is the whole point of having it.

Tick this when the property is verified and the sitemap is submitted.
